There are times as parents were we may have to not only be emotionally invested in our children but financially invested as well. Some time ago, I decided to make the biggest investment in my children’s educational future. Despite my post-graduate education level and dedication to reinforcing education at home I had two children underachieving in core subjects in school. One struggled in reading and one struggled in math. After struggling some time with playing dual roles as parent and private tutor to my two children I found myself not being very helpful as I was becoming a frustrated Mom. I made the decision to enroll my two children into a tutoring service despite my hesitation of the astounding cost associated with my private tutoring program of choice. However, several years later my decision to enroll them into tutoring services was the best decision for my children and myself. I now have two very confident children that are MEETING expectations with hopes of EXCEEDING expectations in due time.

For some families there are numerous obstacles that often present as barriers in their student's academic success. Most common are emotional, social, cultural and economic barriers. My family is committed to closing the academic achievement gap for economically disadvantaged underachieving minority students.
