Our foundation exists as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to provide tuition scholarships to underachieving minority K-12 students for tutoring services specializing in improving math, reading and literacy skills.

​

To be considered all applicants must meet the criteria listed below and submit the following information:

  • Student must be enrolled in Jefferson County Public Schools (K-12)

  • Student must demonstrate reading or math deficit of one academic year or greater as reflected by most recent MAP assessment scores (Map assessment scores can be accessed in Parent Portal and must be uploaded for verification)

  • Parents must clearly articulate any personal or family circumstances affecting your need for financial assistance (federal poverty levels strongly considered)

  • Student and family must be committed to participating in tutoring services 2x/wk for 1 year at approved private tutoring organization. Parent(s) will be responsible to provide transportation.
